Ara Pacis
the altar of peace, an altar dedicated to the peace re-established by the political and military actions of Augustus.
Augusto
C. Iulius Caesar Octavianus. The first Roman emperor. Born in 63 B.C. to Octavian and Atia, great-nephew of Gaius Julius Caesar. In 27 B.C. the senate conferred on him the title of Augustus (literally: one who is venerated) after he achieved supreme power. He died in 14 A.D.
